Ally McCoist sets the internet ablaze after aiming cheeky dig at Celtic as he indirectly reveals HOW the SFA will help Hoops retain the title following Premiership split

Rangers legend Ally McCoist has had a cheeky dig at Celtic, predicting the Hoops will get their “usual” five home games following the Premiership split.

With Hearts just two points ahead of Martin O’Neill’s side, and Celtic a single point clear of Danny Rohl’s Rangers, the Scottish top-flight title race is shaping up for a dramatic finale.

Speaking on Alan Brazil’s talkSPORT show, McCoist—never one to shy away from a laugh—gave his take on how the post-split fixtures might shape up.

“The Kilmarnock game was a brilliant result, and Celtic had a good result beating Motherwell,” he said. “I know Motherwell went down to ten men, but it’s still a good 3-1 result.

“I watched the Rangers game. 1-0 up, and they should have been two or three, and then you know what it’s like, the nerves kick in a little bit. I don’t know when the fixtures come out, but I think you’ll get your usual five home games, and we’ll get one at home and four away. You know, something like that will happen.

“The Celtic-Rangers game will be big, but Rangers have got to go to Tynecastle, and I think Celtic have to play Hearts at Parkhead.

“Motherwell again, and you forget, Falkirk are a good team. They are. And I keep going on about it, but what a job he’s done, John McGlynn.”

This weekend promises plenty of drama before the split even begins. Rangers host Aberdeen at Ibrox on Saturday, while Hearts take on Dundee at Tynecastle. A day later, Celtic travel to Tannadice to face Dundee United in what could be a crucial clash in the title race.
